1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the JobDex software application ("JobDex"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

JobDex is a free, local-first personal CRM application engineered as a desktop client to assist students and individuals with managing their job search pipelines and sending emails through their personal email accounts via OAuth integration.

3. Code Availability and Licensing

JobDex is a source-available project. It is provided under a dual-license structure: MIT License combined with the Commons Clause. You may read, audit, and modify the source code for personal use. Selling the software or offering it as a managed service is expressly prohibited.

4. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

JobDex is a tool that runs locally on your machine. We do not intermediate your outgoing emails. Because of this, you are solely responsible for how you use the application.

• You agree not to use JobDex to send unsolicited spam, malicious software, or fraudulent communications.
• You agree to comply with all applicable anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction (e.g., the CAN-SPAM Act in the United States, GDPR).
• JobDex connects directly to your Google Workspace or Microsoft Outlook account. Your usage of these integrations must strictly comply with Google's and Microsoft's respective Terms of Service. If you abuse their services, they may suspend your email account. We are not liable for any actions taken against your connected email accounts.

5. NO WARRANTIES. PROVIDED "AS IS"

JobDex is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We specifically do not warrant that the software will be error-free, that data will not be lost (please backup your local files if needed), or that it will meet your specific requirements.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the creator, contributors, or maintainers of JobDex be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.

7. Revisions

We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be prominently linked from our website.
